Since I can't really afford VJ right now, I've rented it. This game oozes style, I really like it. Playing the adult mode first, even tho I've been advised to go with the kids version first. I like it tho. I'm still getting the hang of the controls. I think I'll switch the big A button to punch instead of jump, after that, it should be all good. The slow mo is just sick!

Yes, it's hard, but it keeps you coming back for more. I will buy this game, eventually.

I difficulty reminds me off older games on the NES. Games were hard, hard enough that you actually had to be pretty good at the game and have some skills. But it was always worth it because playing the games were always fun and rewarding.

Exactly! I remember those kinds of games. Rush N Attack was like that. You had to be pretty good to keep going. Sadly, I never made it past the parachute guys in that game.

This game rocks, but I'll have to try it on childrens difficulty. I couldn't get past the helicopter. The bad news, I have to take it back to Hastings tonight, and I don't have money to rent it again. I could just rack up late charges on it, but I'll just wait and probably buy the game, it's awesome.

Guys, I am COMPLETELY addicted to Viewtiful Joe! I haven't had this much fun playing a game in a while. I just beat "Another Joe" on Adult and am now on the 5th level. YAY for me!!!! The best part is fighting bosses over and over until you get their pattern down just right. Oldschool gameplay all the way.

CAPCOM, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I've got to say, Joe is the coolest superhero. You've got to admit. Pink cape and all!

Now, I know someone is gonna attack me for saying this, but as much as I LOVE MARIO.....I think I'm loving Joe much more at the moment.

n00bs!!!

Ok to beat the helicopter just pound it's ass into the ground, abuse slo-mo like a fucker, seriously.

Ok the tricks... get right up in it's face when it starts shooting, this takes good timing, but if you can both hit it and deflect 4 or 5 bullets back it's hella smack.

Get right under and hold slow, start pounding while the slow causes the blades to stop spinning and it falls, it's the simplest way to hit it.

Also try knocking the baddies into it for more smack. Hold slow mo on any impact for shiatloads of damage!

Rurouni, in my opinion the easiest way to take the chopper down is to zoom in and use your spin kick to reflect the rockets he shoots out back at him. Then right before they hit him, slow down time and they will take off almost a complete bar of health. In between his rocket attack, slow down time and pummel him with kicks. It takes some timing to get the rockets to hit just right but its the fastest way to take him down.

:D Hope that helps a bit :D

Is everyone refering to the helicopter in the first level? I thought that at that point in the game, zoom in wasn't available.

I though they were talking about the choppers on level 2...if that's what everyone is refering too then the zoom attack works.

A new version is being released in Japan. It will be called Viewtiful Joe Revival and will include a new very hard difficulty mode known as "sweet mode."
