I tried to steup my laptop wireless and when I was selecting the wireless signal to pickup, I saw my WLAN right at the top. So I clicked it and then it said it can't connect. I tried repairing it from my desktop AND my laptop. I really don't understand why my laptop can't pick this up. My Wii and PSP pick it up well, my firewall is turned off, etc.
I can only imagine that I didn't configure it correctly, but I can't seem to find anyone else on the net who has this problem, though, I'm SURE I'm not the only one.
If it's obvious, I would have no idea. I've owned my first laptop for about 2 hours now, so I have no idea how to get this thing to work, alright?

Laptop wo't pickup ZDWLan dongle.
Thanks. You nailed the vista part. Let me try what you suggested. HOPEFULLY it will work, because I need to get this thing customized and I can't do that without Firefox
Didn't work. No matter how many times I disable and re-enable it, it won't detect my wifi.
It WILL however connect to this other wifi which I have no clue what it is/. Perhaps I can do that and then update the drivers.
IT WORKS! KAPOWNAGE! Now maybe after I get a mouse I can see how my copy of HL2 runs on this bizotch. I also can't wait to see how this thing works as far as the video card goes. If I recall correctly, I have a PCI express slot which is a relatively new standard these days?
Oh, and I dunno if anyone else has this problem, but my onboard mouse pad area is touch sensitive, meaning it will click if I tap the mousepad. Anyway to turn this annoying ass thing off? As I said before, this is a laptop. GOD I can't wait to get a real USB mouse for this -_-
