Grrr Fucking Windows!

Ok i have a very very annoying problem at hand. Whenever I try to alt+tab (or press the window button ) out of a full screen Application, My fucking mouse cursor turns invisible and i can only see what it highlights. and then i cant click the taskbar because it will freeze so the only option i have is to

A.) completely exit the full screen app to take care of whatever i need to alt+tab out for.

B.) Keep no window minimized in the background which i really dont intend to do since most of the stuff i need to take care of happens suddenly.

C.) if i do alt+tab out following the directions of option B, I will have to restart
my whole computer after.(and its a real real pain in the ass.)

I asked Vamp and he said it had to do with DirectX. that might be true because i dont remember it happening before DirectX 9c, but i tried reinstalling and reinstalling again and it just wont work. The real sad thing is i cant find anyone else with this problem. anybody got any ideas?

I used to have that problem too, but it eventually fixed itself as time went on, so sorry. I planted false hope in you with the first half of the first sentence of the first response put into text to this thread which appears to be the first one asking this question, which makes me the first bastard in this thread which is the first to ask such a peculiar quesion. I know...

I still do have this kind of problem with Battlefield 2. I'll Alt+Tab out to answer an IM or something, and the cursor will be invisible. BUT, if I click either mouse button, it'll pop up, and that's it. No freezing, no restarts, it just works like normal, then I Alt+Tab again and I'm back in the game.

god damn it but when i click it still is invisible : ( ...

Instead of Alt-Tabing "it" try just pressing the windows key so the start menu pops up, that should still exit the game. It does for me on every game i've played. Even halo 2 for vista. haha,

Edit: Just pressing the Windows Key Minimizes the game,
