I figured the Wii owners out there (primarily Break) would love to see this. Someone confirmed under in the comments that the magazine is in Portugese (though credibility in comments is usually to question of course, so I'll let anyone that can read Portugese decide that). The interview portion of the magazine was, fortunately, translated, and lucky us, gonintendo.com's all over that as well.

On that note, let's hope Sega's not trying to fuck with us this time. It's not like this would be the first time a Sega character was taken advantage of for April Fool's, and IIRC, this isn't the first time screens were produced for a game based on a Sega character (I do believe the game this was done with before was Knuckles Adventure or something, I think I saw the site that was put up for the game too. It was pretty nuts.)

Well, Sega has been a bastard with jokes before so you really don't ever know one way or the other. I'm HOPING it's not though because I never got to play the original Nights...NO ONE I knew had a fucking Saturn, wtf was with that? From the sounds of it though, and the fact that Break seems to love it, I REALLY want to play it.RurouniQ wrote:It's not an April Fools Joke. It's been confirmed in multiple magazines now. If it's a joke, it's the BIGGEST ONE EVAR.

My family actually had a Sega CD once, but it was only for somewhere around a month or 2. I got one chance to play Sega CD. In all honesty, I think we were just borrowing the Sega CD though since I'm not sure entirely on why we got rid of it or how we got it, but I think I recall something about us having borrowed it from a friend of my dad.

Oh yeah, I saw that pic too. It was a pic of The Wind Waker with realistic graphics. Link was standing on a portrusion of a cliff (I'm assuming on Rito Island) and there was 1 of those damn annoying bird things that fly around the island (annoying because they had a valuable item on them, but killing them usually sent it falling into an abyss before you could get it). I think Link was aiming his bow and arrow at the the bird. I know he was at least looking at it.bmdubya wrote:Ok, I was wrong, it isn't an April Fool's joke. I remember the one in EGM I think where it had a "screenshot" of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time with updated graphics for the GameCube. I bought it. Ok, now that I think about it, was it that, or Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker with realistic graphics?

When I look back on that picture, (I was wrong about Link's pose, but right about everything else, save the proper name of the island) I noticed that Link's body looked weird in comparison to everything else in the picture. There was something not right about it. I personally think it wasn't using any proper proportions.
EDIT: Btw, I read the article on ign that Nights has been 100% confirmed with the title: NiGHTS: Journey Into Dreams. 'Tis a wonderful day in gaming. The game has been confirmed to be released this fall. Moving on, it turns out (according to rumors at least) the game also began it's development for the 360 and PS3. Only thing I have left to say is that the game is confirmed to be a full-blown new game, not a remake, so yay for anyone who's played the previous game.

Well, taking this chance since I'm doing nothing, more info has been confirmed on NiGHTS today, and something in particular is quite interesting.

here's a brief overview of what the article talks about for those that can't read slightly over 2 paragraphs:
- Use of Forecast Channel to change in-game environments
- 3 "persona" masks accessible over 7 in-game environments
- Enables friends to change unidentified items over WiiConnect24
If you want more in-depth details on the topics I mentioned...there's a link, click it.
EDIT: Interesting hit on youtube I found:

Don't know if it's official, but it looks pretty cool. There's a design flaw or 2 with Nights himself between that trailer and the pictures we've seen for the Wii that I can spot, but I won't rule that as a reason for the trailer being fake since designs can easily change, just look at Prince of Persia. I have tried searching and I don't see any videos on any gaming sites showing this trailer...
