Okay, okay, I know it's garbage... but I still find it oddly fascinating.
Mostly Big Brother is my garbage of choice, there not being much else on TV to watch over dinner (yes I'm a slob and I eat my dinner on the couch in front of the TV).
I enjoy it because I'm a voyeur, I love watching other people do pretty much anything at all really. I particularly like how people start to fragment under stressful conditions, and how they react to confinement.
Anyone else got a shameful interest in reality television? Or, even worse, game shows?
Hmm, I suppose I like some things that might be considered reality TV, but not the main ones like BB or Survivor. Ones like "Hell Kitchen" and "The Mole", though the latter isn't on anymore.
I love Hell's Kitchen. That guy makes me smile when he yells at those people. The winner gets their own restaurant in a new hotel that has opened up here in Vegas, so I plan on going to it once the season's over.
You all may hate me for this, but I always get drawn into MTV's Real World,I haven't seen it in a few months because the new cast didn't intrest me much, but I always find time to watch the Real World/Road Rules challenges that they have. I kinda got suckered into it, witht that aside, as Break mentioned, ghost hunters is pretty cool, but I never know when its on so I've only seen it 3-4 times. Thats pretty much it for reality tv....others like American Idol and and things close to it don't really have the same effect as others do.
one of the first Real Worlders went to my college(Rutgers U). When he came back, he was trying to act like he was a star, but most people knew he was emo, and passed him by.
the crazy girl from Hawaii's Real World was also a Rutgers grad. I'd hit that.
