Awesome, I'm almost through the first season. Has anyone else seen it? Episode 14 was one of the more moving episodes of anime I've ever seen.

If you want to talk about a moving episode of a television series, my favorite is a certain episode of season 5 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was so intense and moving that it made me cry.

Same thing with this ep. I haven't seen the one you're talking about though. I watched Buffy for a little while, but I think that was only up to season three or four.

...

Now I'm curious, what happens in the episode? I seriously doubt I'll ever buy the box sets and watch the whole series or anything, so its not like it'll really spoil anything.

You should really watch Season 5 all the way through though. I've been watching Buffy and Angel chronologically and it's been very rewarding. So far, Season 5 could very well be the best season of Buffy I've seen so far. The episode that made me cry deals with death. It's very intense and no music is used in the episode. It all feels very realistic. If you watch the episode out of context, I doubt it would have as much impact as it did on me. I'm lucky becuase the local public library here has every season of Buffy and Angel on DVD. If you have any friends that have the seasons, you should barrow it from them.

Pretty much all things Joss Whedon kick ass.

I've only really liked Firefly, Buffy and Angel not as much. Anyway, I'll see if any local libraries have them.
