We have new surroundings...and now.....

WIDESCREEN!

:)

I think this one went pretty well...we were both really tired when we shot this.

Once again, let us know what you think.

640x480 != Widescreen...
!= means not equal

Edit: OK, downloaded and watched.
It was great! I really want to try out amplitude now.. pitty I dont have a PS2. What is the name of the song that plays during the intro movie, I might get a copy of it from my good friend Peter Kazaa.
Also, the video dimensions are 640x352, which is widescreen.

Told you so :wink:

Anyways, that song is The Crystal Method remix of "Boom" by P.O.D.

Some of the other ones that you may or may not have heard in the gamebreaker are:

"Kimosabe" by BT

"King of Rock" by RUN DMC and remixed by the X-ecutioners

"The Rock Show" by Blink 182

"SuperSpr0de" by Freezepop

And yes, yes you should get a ps2 and get this game, EMP.

Since you're doing an re-encode anyway...

1. Crop!
Image
You're encoding little bit of video that isn't needed, as seen in the picture. A quick tests say 24pixels in from the left & right, and 12 pixels in from the top and bottom can be cut without loosing anything valuable. You can either re-stretch the footage after cropping to 640x352, or leave it as 592x328. Removing those little bits will make the overall video look better, because its less bytes being used on the worthless sections, which means more bytes for the good bits.

2. Stretch!
If you can do it easily, stretch the SC2 movie at the end to full screen.

3. Reverse!
Switch your name and Jacks name at the begining.. the labels are incorrect.

4. De-interlace!
This one is a bit harder to do.. and probably too hard to bother with. But if you look on the TV screen (see pic above), you'll notice some wicked bad interlacing.. I played around with it in Virtual Dub and got some smoothing that was reasonable, but not worth the effort.. If premier, however, offers a box deinterlace, you might be able to de-interlace just the TV.. I dunno.. I will talk to you about it personally if you're interested break.

Well, thats just me nit-picking over it.. Overall, a pretty good encode, and a great show. =)

Master Chief in the hiz-ouse!

I like how you guys bring a little class to the set by adding a Halo standee. Nice touch!

The new set is great. Like EvilNitPickyPirate said, some cropping would help. I would actually suggest you just bring the camera in closer next time. The important thing is that the review was, once again, top notch.

Thx, mightybean :D We thought you might like it. There's another little one right behind Break, but you can't see it.

On a side note really quick, Greg, there is seriously the best gathering of Halo players EVER at NVGL. Seriously. Darkman plays here and gets beat now. If you took the top 8 people that play at NVGL, you could put them up against any other combination of 8 people in the world, and they'd probably win. These guys are awesome, and they'd make the other bungie employees (since you weren't involved with the first one) proud that their game is so awesome.

But anyways, thanks a lot for the kind words and thanks for watching my goofy ass along with Break.
