Well give me a Menorah and call me a Jew! That looks like a water cooling system to me! Although, I’m not sure how efficient the water cooling would be, I have a basic knowledge of water coolers from what I've read online, and I was under the impression a key component was an exchange reservoir –which pumps cool water through the system instead of HOT water. That seems to be mysteriously lacking from the DC. There isn't very much water in the system, so the water would get pretty hot, pretty quick, and once it is hot, it is not actually helping anymore. Also, this image has some parts of the pipes missing, so maybe the reservoir is missing form the imager too.

Also, I recognize parts #1 through #5, but just out of curiosity, what is part #6 break? Edit: Figured it out, its the modem.

Yeah, there is a small res. of water in there. I don't think its in the picture though, like you said. The Dreamcast is one of the better designed systems of all time. With the ability to work with two different environments (Dreamcast specific and PC coding) it was awesome. Unfortunately the Saturn's reputation, as well as lack of support from EA put the knife through their heart. That and people just waited for the PS2.

Well, I’ve done some deeper research, and have found that some Dreamcast do indeed have a water-cooling system. However,
http://www.gamesx.com/dreamcast/index2.htm wrote: The North American system does NOT use this cooling method - where's the fun in that?
Where is the fun indeed!? PlanetDreamcast (a more reliable source) had this to say:
http://www.planetdreamcast.com/features/skin/ wrote: Sega seems to have engineered the Dreamcast to run without overheating and scrapped the liquid-cooling -- we saw no evidence of it when we poked around.
I suspect that I've never heard anything about the water cooling before a few days ago is becuse the Water Cooling never made it to North America. Also, because it couldn't jump the pacific, and the fact that no other console have used water cooling since implys to me that it wasn't such a good idea in the first place.

Why are they so antigameatory?

Mine used to be, but they actually support it now. I explained a lot to them; like how it is considered modern art in Britain and Japan. And the career I want to persue (Journalism, or possibly PR) is going to be focused on this field. I eventually convinced them that is was a viable field, after presenting many facts. Besides the others: 60% of people that play games are over the age of 18, the avg age of a gamer is 28, and 58-62% of Americans play games) <= Facts from Entertainment Weekly.

I was amazed when my mom, who liked games the least of the two, actually was telling one of her friends the benifits of games (I just walked in on the convo.) She said that she thought it helped my mind "grow" too. Which actually was proven by a Scientist that is helps problem solving skills. Ok, I really need to study for my Japanese test tomorrow.. it'd have to be doa2....im sorry that damn reversal system tecmo has was the bomb to me. "damn he's good" Capcom vs snk2, nfl/nba 2k series got me back into sprots and back out with the 2k3 series, and samba is pretty fun too if you have the maracas and don't mind looking like a damn fool. I still wish they would've released Super GT and Planet Harrier for my beloved dc!!!!!!!!!!!

My first water cooling for any system was for the psx. well it wasn't eactly a water cooled system, but here's the setup....
of couse the thing was flipped upside down!!!! then a couple of blue ice packs double sacked in blue walmart bags!!!! with a box fan full steam.

hey man...it worked and i had to beat ff7! all them damn fmvz made menervous for the life of my psx not to mention the endless amounts of time beating tekken2.

Man i may have just finally got a Dreamcast but there are so many great games its hard to pick.

However I would have to say its a tie between:

Sonic Adventure 1
Soul Calibur(man play that with Break was insane, loved that ninja character that would stab Break in the back lol)
PSO

all are great but I really wish I could get a copy of soul calibur of my own same with Skies of Arcadia  stupid I can't be burned RPG

Favoite DC game? It's been a while since I've even looked at mine, but I'd have to say either Rival Schools or Phantasy Star Online.

Good times.

PSO ownzors.
Ooooh, a Lain avatar, impressive. I'm not a big Lain fan since it kind of messed with my head, but regardless that's a pretty sweet avy/banner sig combo.
