I used to work for EB, but then they closed that store and provided no continued employment options, bastards.

They bought them so they could (finally) figure out how to run their stores. I'm laughing all the way to the bank...have you seen how much EB's stock price has jumped?

So did Gamestop's. It's honestly not a big deal. All stores will remain open. No one is losing their jobs, except you MAY see lots of EB employees get promoted to GS managers...like Jack implied.

Damn $38 a share to all EB Games shareholders... that and 3/4 of a share of gamestop... pretty good deal for anyone who was doing the stock purchasing plan! Wish I would have been

How you doing dherb? I'm still in denial that ALan is gone, so I still actually look forward to going there when I return. Alas, I'm in for a disappointment.

Anyway, I heard they were going to close any and all EB games that are anywhere near a gamestop. But since there isn't a gamestop in Lawrence, Jack's place has nothing to worry about. EB was the only real chain store in Lawrence, right?

Well, we'll see how all this plays out. A new EB Games just opened up right near where our next tournament is going be, and they're one of the sponsors. I guess it doesn't matter now on the flyer who's the sponsor, I'll have to change it to Gamestop. Hope Gamestop starts running things more like EB did.

Screw EB, they need to buy ALAN's and place them over the country.....except in Newark.

I don't think EB will go anywhere. It ran Gameco and Game Xchange out of biz. Game Guy off Mass has actually picked up, though.
