1) Hard Drive... Yes! There was some speculation that MS was going to take the HD out to make it more difficult to Mod.
2) Flash based HD... Yes!!! It was told to me that the HD was going to be flash based... small size fast access... BAM!
3) No Stupid Dongle DVD playback... Yes!!! The reason that the first Xbox didn't have built in DVD playback is a simple one, Sony owns the Intellectual Property rights for DVD playback. Nuf said...
4) Xbox II at E3... Hell Yes!!! There will be an Xbox II maybe more at E3 this year...
5) Xbox II release date announced at E3... another Hell Yes!!! MS will be announcing a release date for Xbox II...
Now this is not like the "rumors" about IBM before, these are hard cold facts from the horses mouth...

Interesting info, and while I'm interested to hear more at E3, I'm still not quite ready for a new console yet. It seems like just a couple years ago that this console generation started, and the games are really getting good for all consoles. Do we really need the little jump in graphics all the time so soon? That and I have no money, so affording a new console is out of the question right now.

I doubt PS2 will come out this year. It'll be 2006, maybe even early 2007. And I think Microsoft is largely to blaim for the desire to jump to the next generation. Even though they have put out a freaking awesome console, they are still losing a little money everyday. So that is why they will be the first to release the next ceneration console. The next Xbox will be made in a cheaper way, leaving room for lots of profits for Microsoft. Plus, by releasing it first, Microsoft hopes to become the leader in the next generation of console wars. It would be so sweet to see that in the next generation, Microsoft was #1, followed by Nintendo at a close #2, and PS2 lagging way behind with their Bluray discs dragging behind them.
