It's less of an ad to bring people in than to just play over the station. Between shows and such. Like the little spot they have on CNN.

Yeah I'm in agreement with Afro on this one. Someone hearing that promo is going to think Breakmanx.com is a news site.. not a gaming site.

But then again considering amount of game discussion on the boards lately (or lack thereof) perhaps you guys are wanting to take the site in another direction?

The Game Show is mainly about gaming news.. that's what I meant. No, I'm not going to start doing that on the show. The show has, and always will, be about gaming. Richie and I were here when we thought that up as just a brief ad. All I meant by it was that we say exactly what we think about the games. *No bullshit* I think that's kind of what we're known for. When you connect to a station that says "Video Game Talk Radio Show" in the title bar you can deduct that news means gaming news.

Talking about foreign policy would be something I'd like to do, but I'd never make that any more than what it is now.. a forum that no one has to see.

The ad thing came from a suggestion that Mighty Bean gave me a long time ago.

To my knowledge everything on the show and the site (besides the forum) have been completely game based. Things will stay like this, all gaming, but then the possibility of posting whatever you want on the forum. I simply thought, with the election coming up, that people might have some thoughts about the election. I know that I did. I always wanted these forums to be a place where you could talk about ANYTHING.

I like the forums the way they are. I like talking politics. If you want to talk games....post. It's not a big deal, but I like to talk about other stuff too. There's not ALWAYS gaming type stuff to talk about. You gotta mix it up sometimes.

I'd have to say that was my thinking when starting that forum.
