Beta App FFXI and others

Gamespot used to have a beta test center, but I think they took it out or something. Here is where you can sign up for the beta test for FFXI, http://www.squaresoft.com Here is other beta test places, http://www.station.sony.com/en/

Well, I signed up for FFXI, had to use my old address from when I used to live in the US.. I hope they dont try to mail me the disc becaues I will be screwed then.. I'd better be able to download it.

I don't think you could download it... I mean, think about it? In reality, would they send you a CD or tell you to go to some site with a (or several) 800MB file(s) to download...?

I know other public Beta tests have required you to download ~700mb of game.... But I suppose FFXI might be a DVD worth of data, in which case they might be sending me a disc.. Not to worry. I will tell my old neighbour to ask the new residense to keep an eye out for it, and to forward it to me when/if it arrives.

i hope i get to beta FFXI cause then i'll know if i should buy the retail version or if it does really suck like most people say it will. I still think it looks really sweet and I want to play.
