I've been saying it for a while. Gamespot had the balls to come to the shithole area where I live, and EB didn't. Regardless, we have a regular game store and I'm eternally grateful to Gamestop. That being said, I will admit that the employees of out local Gamestop are 90% worthless, nothing like the high-precision killing machine that Phylo runs.

If you live in the KC area, I heard on the radio this morning that Mission Mall could possibly be bought out by Walmart to make a Walmart Super-center. So if you're an EB loyalist like Verence, the one at mission might be gone before to long. This is just proof that Walmart is taking over man. I'm not going CrAzY, they're everywhere!!!

I hate Wal-Mart with a passion. Buying anything there is like giving a big fuck you to EB and all the specialty stores we love.

at least yah have a mojr retail chain in your city. There's NO Gamestop, EB, Walmart, Kmart, Staples etc in Newark.

I used to work at the same EB (HI JOE), and it sucks that they closed it. I was gonna go to the Gamestop upstairs, but their new manager's a douchehole, so methinks not.

Also, Wal-Mart doesn't wanna buy Mission Mall, they wanna buy Blue Ridge Mall, in Independence.

How recently did you go?

They got a new manager a few months ago, then got an even NEWER manager a couple days ago. The newest one wasn't overtly doucheholesque that I could see.
