Im just wonderin, how can ESPN sell games for 20 dollars like they are?
Pleas explain to me............

They are trying to take marketshare away from Madden this year. They know that they weren't doing it that well even with a superior game, so they decided to drop the price and release a few weeks early to make the die-hard Maddenites stand up and at least consider it.

jack's right, my southern pal.

ESPN/Sega has been the dominant/more consistent/more entertaining/more willing to take chances to improve/more innovative game for the past couple of years.

Unfortunately, football game fans live with the lemming mentality that, since they were playing Madden first, it somehow makes it better than everything else that challenges it.

And you hear nonsense like "oh they are rushing it out before all the kinks are worked out." Nonsense, have you seen the game? Everyone subscribes to the Madden propaganda, including some non-Game Show game websites and magazines. However, the only thing Madden has over ESPN is number of games sold...nothing else.

Go to ESPN Videogames Website.

Then watch all 90 videos of ESPN NFL 2K5. Then go watch Madden videos. You won't get through more than 1 of the Madden ones.

I'm not a huge sports gaming fan. I occasionally like my game of football, maybe some arcade stuff like Blitz. But I really did like NFL 2K, the last real football game I played. But I just can't say no to 2K5. It's cheap, coming out soon, and I have a nice discount I can even get.

I tried Madden a year or 2 ago, and didn't like it at all. Sega is definitely doing everything right this year and then some. I just hope people take notice.
