CoH, how I long to wear spandex & fight crime
CoH, how I long to wear spandex & fight crime
I really, really want to play this game, but sadly no City of Heros for me. I've gotten a taste of it. Creation is cool, powers are cool, fighting is cool, and everyone that I know, including their mothers seem to be playing this thing. I look to purchase this game soon, anyone have a preferred server to play on? And from what I hear the patch updates are frequent and provide some decent content too. Any truth to that as well?
That's because I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest man you should look out for, because it's always the honest man who does something... ... stupid.
I've heard good & bad things about FFXI, and though I'm a big FF fan at heart, I think the biggest turn-off for me about this game is that you have to have a friend "buy" you a world-pass to switch servers. Granted, I know this is a minor quirk which I'm sure people get over really quickly. I just don't like the idea of having to "pay" for something that should be as easy as just point and click.

CoH is a great game. Some people don't think it's indepth because it doesn't provide a skills system. For a fantasy RPG, those work. But for CoH, it's be a bit superfluous. The whole point is to be a superhero, go around, and fight crime. How often do you see a superhero tailoring? Or fishing? I love skills sytems, don't get me wrong, but for CoH there's really no need. So if you have ot have the ability ot be a jeweler or potter or something along those lines, go play FFXI. If you want ot game and kill shit, and even roleplay while killing shit, play CoH.
The content downloads are amazing, yes. They'e been really responsive to what people want included into the game. Voice chat will be added soon, among a shitfuck ton of other things.
If you get it let me know - Rurouni and I play on Liberty and Freedom. In Freedom I can hook ya up with a guild. I'll prolly quit Liberty since someone quit playing CoH. *cough* Afro *cough*

Everything I learned came from reading banned books.
My only qualm with CoH is that it feels like you're doing the exact same thing at lv 15 that you do at lv 1. Sure that is an awesome thing to do, and I had a blast doing it, but it just got a touch old, ya know? That's just my opinion, but there it is.

Ditto. I played with Afro and got up to about 15 and just had to quit. Level 15 feels just like Level 1 only a LOT longer... I can't imagine what Level 50 is about. Plus... there's really no point. You level and level but for what? I dunno. It was fun for a month. Now I'm back to playing Battlefield and Galaxies.
