1 Gamecube
1 copy of the game
electricity
1 TV
1 controller

if you want to play multiplayer all YOU need extra is a GBA which you should already have because they are freaking awsome and a GBA-GCN link cable. So assuming you have the GBA all you need to pay extra is $10 - $15. It is assnine to assume that one person will supply 4 GBAs and 4 link cable. . . this is why you find friends who have one and it isn't hard to do.

yeah I have seen several games for the GCN that are online besides PSO.

That's news to me. . . Everytime I look they cost the same.

i know they all top out at 50 bucks....but i was thinking Gamecube's greatest hits, or what ever were 30 bucks instead of 20 like PS2s and Xbox. i know it USED to be liek that, could be wrong now.
And i was just pointing out that game cube is just as much of a whore when it comes to extras...
you dont' NEED anything you dont' NEED a HDD...or the online thing.
The silliest thing i have seen them make you buy though is the DVD remote for Xbox. you shouldn't HAVE to buy one of those things. I understand the conveinence and why some one would buy it, i just don't know why they wouldn't allow you to use the controller. But they come free with the box now, so who cares, just like the online for PS2.
I got a new PS2 over the weekend becouse my old one had taken quite a beating. It was like $138 plus tax for the thing, online thing, ATV offroad 2, wich i doubt will ever get bored enuff to try.
BTW, i remeber reading that when you buy the online adaptor you get a free send away for Twistid Metal Black: online...but mine didn't seem to have one....any of you guys know where i oculd come by one of those?
It'd be nice to have a reason to play that game again.

Actually, lately, a few Gamecube new releases have been under $49.99. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes was release at $39.99, Custom Robo was released at $39.99, and Wario Ware was released at $29.99!

If you don't like Nintendo or the Gamecube, that's fine, it's your own choice, but at least acknowledge and respect the incredible amount of influence and innovation they've had over the industry.

what are the chances they're going to spend any real time making games for adults instead of just churning out more pokemon games?

I've thought the same. We'll just wait and see I guess. It'll be interesting to see what the launch titles are.
I have spoken.
