I remember when we discussed what the last generation of cards would run HL2 best. Then, I remembered when HL2 was supposed to be released last year. Then I remembered when it was supposed to be released this month. Hehehehehe

Many times when you go into properties you'll have a scrollbar to move up and down. This will allow you to control the exact clock speed and mem speed directly without having to do anything extraneous to the card.

After 2 years of working at K-Mart Corp. in O'Fallon, IL, I have seen many different changes throughout the industry, namely the increased monitoring of game sales to minors. Many employee's didn't even understand that it was illegal to sell an "M" game to minors. (Doesn't M mean minor?) It isn ...

Try to spread out the power to the fans to as many different connectors as possible. That reduces the risk of many bad power things happening to your devices (ie surge/shortage) As for your pin problem, I am confused. Your board has a built on 1394 port, or does it just have the jumpers? Many times ...

Many built in fans come with a monitor so you can read RPM's. Possibly your Dell fan had just that, while your new one doesn't include the monitor. Since the bios is configured to read this information, and it isn't reading any, it thinks the fan is not moving, or failed.

Just my thoughts

I would recommend being overseen by somebody who knows their way around the inside of the computer. It's safer, and you don't screw up your parts. I will disperse general tips of knowledge though. (sorry if these seem trivial. I want to touch all bases) General Tips: 1. Take your time. A computer is ...

Some of slight construction differences as well, though they are all based off the same chipset. The same would apply for say, motherboards. All the chips you buy for the board are the same, but each chip doesn't belong to a specific board. When choosing, make sure you read the customer reviews for ...

I think my last post wasn't that clear about the 1 GB thing. When a motherboard lists how much RAM it can support using size restrictions, it uses the highest capactity RAM (1 gb) and multiplies that by the number of DIMM Slots available. Therefore, if a board supports 3 gb or RAM, it has 3 DIMM ...

BMX.com in trouble?????

Reading the front page, I found a not-so-subtle request for donations to the site. I am not against donating money to my good friends for the quality entertainment and companionship I have found at the site. I am just curious as to the sudden need (or not so sudden) of donations.
