Look over here, Dear Reader,
“Hitman” is back, baby! Hot off the press, we just got word that IO Interactive is returning to their venerable franchise with “Hitman: Absolution.” I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of these games, especially “Hitman 2” and the incredible “Hitman: Blood Money.” For my money, Agent 47 is the true heir to “Thief’s” legacy of giggle-inducing, “I can’t believe I pulled that off” trickery and stealth. Sam Fischer can go screw himself.
Hit the jump for the full list of what we know from the press release, and a look at the new teaser!
Here’s the full skinny:
-“Hitman: Absolution” will be out in 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
-Along with the classic formula, it will have “completely new” gameplay features. No word on what those are.
-A proprietary technology called Glacier 2, developed by IO, will apparently be employed.
-The plot will involve 47 being betrayed, and placed in the center of a dark conspiracy. Pretty standard stuff.
And last but not least: it’ll be at E3. And you know that means we’ll be all over it here at Padinga. Don’t you worry your pretty little head about that, Dear Reader.
