That's MONOLITH SOFT, not MONOLITH PRODUCTIONS. Two completely different companies. There seems to be a lot of confusion going around about this.
With all this talk of Nintendo's financial records skyrocketing, Nintendo has decided to purchase 80% of Japanese video game developer Monolith Soft. The studio is currently working on a new Wii project titled Disaster: Day of Crisis.
Monolith Soft is widely known for their work on the Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos franchises, all of which were published by Bandai Namco.
So is anyone excited that the Wii might be getting some high caliber RPGs? Or is this just another poorly spent purchase of an average company. (Rare anyone?) Discuss!
