So, I suck. There will be no show on account of my unavailability today again. I’m editing an Advanced Directing project during break, which is a lot of fun, but it has left me unable to broadcast today. The bright side? We should be broadcasting next week, no problem.
I thought I should also say that we are not dead and that we are not closing down or anything like that. Is has just been a crazy busy time for me the past two weeks. Back in the days of BreakmanX.com the only time I cancelled a show was when I was literally in the hospital. Even then, I tried to figure out a way that I could still broadcast. My philosophy is still the same, I broadcast whenever it is absolutely possible. The thing that has changed is that there are more and more situations where it is impossible for me to be at the mic at show time.
I do this show completely for the fun of it. I absolutely love getting together with my friends and talking about video games, and now that I live in Hollywood this happens less and less. This show gives me a chance about once a week to talk with them. That is the reason I do it. I met some absolutely amazing people at KU, and doing the show gives me a weekly chance to connect with them. Add in Captain Cluster and you’ve got the best of both worlds. The show has changed our lives, I’ve met one of my best friends through it, Mecha, and Q met his wife through it. Very cool.
At any case, this year has been an amazing time to be a gamer; Uncharted 2, New Super Mario Bros., and Modern Warfare 2 just to name a few games that have been huge in awesomeness and impact. We also got a Kindle from her office for Christmas and it is amazing. I thought the Kindle was pretty lame until I actually used it, but I am hooked now. Books are like half price of the printed copies, it helps the environment, and I love reading on the E-Ink screen. Very cool.
