This video astounds me in multiple ways.
- From my experience in marching band (What? This is a video game site. Did you expect anything other than nerds?), this sort of marching is incredibly difficult to pull off.
- The music here is everything it should be. Marching band versions of the Pokemon and Tetris themes, among others? It’s enough to bring a tear to any band/game nerd’s eye.
- The crowd’s reaction. THEY LOVE IT. Even when the Pokemon music starts playing and they form giant Pokeballs on the field, the crowd goes wild. They recognize what they’re seeing on the field, and they love it.
This video is now in running contention for Best Thing Ever. It is concentrated awesome presented on a huge field in front of tens of thousands of people who eat it alive. You can feel the energy coming off them even through your monitor.
