The image above is from today’s released weekly ad for GameStop. Never mind the nonsensical misspelled caption hanging below the image on the right side. See, here’s my concern.
As far as I’m concerned, THIS AD MUST COME FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION, BECAUSE THERE IS NO REALITY I AM AWARE OF IN WHICH BATMAN FUCKING FOREVER WAS EVER CONSIDERED A BONUS.
Come on, GameStop. 1995 called, and they want the worst movie of the year back. No, wait. They don’t want it back, and I can totally understand why. Whoever determines your bonus promotions really should have gotten at LEAST a Tim Burton Batman movie lined up, if not a Christopher Nolan one. If anything, this promotion is a deterrant from purchasing Arkham City, since it reminds us so unfortunately of a period in Batman history we’d really rather forget.
(UPDATE: Apparently Ultraviolet is the movie streaming service, not a reference to the movie. You’ll understand why I would think GameStop would make that kind of mistake here.)

IIIII’ve beeeeeen kissed by a rose….
“Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me” was also an awesome song.
Ultraviolet refers to the distribution service, not that crappy Milla Jovovich film. Also, as fucking terrible as Batman Forever is, it still received several Oscar nominations, including Best Cinematography. What?!
I shall withhold my personal opinions on the validity of the Academy’s opinions.
