Since I abused my position with BMX.com to show off some Gran Turismo 4 shots. I think we’re a bit overdue.
The ever-sexy NSX-R.
My new Toyota MR2, stock and straight off the used car lot.
Another used purchase, a ’99 Impreza Sedan.

I’ll probably come off as a braggart, but I like to think I’ve improved my photographic eye with these new shots, and I’m particularly proud of my work with motion blur. I’ve also tried to bring more background in to the shots, trying to give perspective and get some focus off the cars. As always, comments are appreciated. And by comments, I mean compliments.
If you’re anything like me, in that you’ve not picked up Gran Turismo 4 in a few months, then allow me to recommend a motivation: A 2nd gen. MR2. Sounds boring, I know. But bone stock, credit for credit, the MR2 is hands down the best car I know for wholesome, sideways fun. You needn’t have watched The Drift Bible to get this thing skidding. Just lift off the throttle, jerk the steering into the corner, and shazaam; you’re ass out and lookin’ good. No fancy pedal work, no hand brake. Just use gentle steering inputs to control the slide. And when you’re ready to stop sliding, simply stand on the gas: Physics and the MR2’s mid-engine drivetrain will conspire to load the rear suspension, and reel the rear end back into line. It’s so simple, it can make the most pedestrian of drivers look like Keiichi Tsuchiya.
I also picked up a new toy recently: A Creative NOMAD MuVo 128MB MP3 Player (Can you imagine saying that to someone aloud? Ugh.) Where’s the screen, you ask? Doesn’t need one, really. With only 128 MB of space (~15 MP3’s), it’s not like you’re gonna get lost in the selection. Furthermore, no screen means less battery drain, which means up to 12 hours of play on a single AAA battery. Loading up the memory is as easy as slipping the player into a USB port: The player acts like a flash drive, so things are drag-and-drop simple.
However, having a $44 price tag, this is about as cheap as they come, and it isn’t exactly crammed with features. But considering my intended use, having a few tunes to listen to on bus rides and while walking around campus, I think it’s a perfect fit.
