To VMC Game Labs, for being chosen by Microsoft as the exclusive testing provider for the Xbox 360.
If you’ll think back to E3, you’ll remember that Glenn Hoogerwerf, Chief Operating Officer for VMC, was kind enough to give us an interview, explaining VMC’s rather underrated role in the gaming industry. Their level of thoroughness is mind-boggling: They cover every testable factor in a video game that you can think of, and probably a few that you can’t. So with several testing facilities around the nation, and their own network infrastructure to work with, it’s no surprise that Microsoft went with VMC. Just remember that when you find bugless games on 360, it’s these guys you should be thanking.
In other happy news, internet rumor has it that we’re in for a Battlefield 2 demo today. I’ll be keeping both my eyes on all the usual file hosts, but in the meantime, try drooling over these in-game videos.

*UPDATE*
After browsing the EA boards, I found an official post pertaining to the demo release. Apparantly, the demo will be available only through Gamespot, linkage here, and not today, but Saturday. But don’t cry if you don’t have Gamespot Complete, because you won’t need it: The download will be free to all.
Awesome, so instead of handing out the file to a dozen file hosts, we’ll have every Battlefield fan clusterfuck one site. Great thinking, EA.
